Never Settle For Mediocre

We enjoy working with innovative brands like Duck Camp that are never satisfied with the status quo.

Like us, Duck Camp is constantly looking for innovative ways to make better products that help keep people comfortable and feeling their best.

Founded by Sim Whatley in 2018 in Austin Texas, Duck Camp was born to address a pesky problem: poor fit and poor quality of hunting and fishing gear.

The Louisiana native spent much of his childhood outdoors hunting and fishing with his father and grandfather, who was the youngest ever appointed commissioner for wildlife and fisheries in Louisiana.

After working in financial sales in Europe and the Middle East and then running a startup online classified company in Dubai for a decade, Whatley moved back to the United States and immediately bought a small boat and a duck lease to reconnect with nature and his love for outdoors.

He quickly realized that most hunting and fishing apparel didn’t fit well, was too baggy, and was cut in unflattering shapes.

Most hunting and fishing apparel was also made with lower quality fabrics that trapped heat and moisture against the skin — a no-go for humid Southern summers and scorching heat.

He knew there had to be a better way.

I went on a bit of a mission to find a fabric that was both performance and lightweight. We like a product that performs in multiple situations and can go from the blind to the bar. —Sim Whatley, in an interview with Field & Stream

Whatley started Duck Camp, and in response to customer demand, he quickly expanded the line of apparel and added new performance materials such as brrr° cooling fabric to keep people cooler, drier, and more comfortable so they could spend more time outdoors doing what they love.
