brrr scientistbrrr° Chief Scientist, Apurba Banerjee will be a featured speaker at the International Conference of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) that’s happening this week in Fort Worth, Texas.

Banerjee was invited to give an educational talk about technology and process innovation titled “The Future of Cool: Advances in Cooling Technologies for Fabric.”

She discusses human thermoregulation, clothing physiology, thermal balance, and recent advances in cooling technology, such as the use of natural cooling minerals that are embedded into the yarns to create an instant and permanent cooling sensation.

brrr° combines cooling minerals with active wicking and rapid drying to create a “Triple Chill Effect” that draws heat and moisture away from the skin.

Banerjee will also talk about where cooling technology will go next as new developments such as nanotechnology are explored.
